AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA Goes Goodwill? (Also known as Rainbow Bright Grew Up and Threw Up)

I am astonished by her Spring/Summer 2010 collection. She is well known for her eccentric whimsical clothing
BUT.. this is plain out right nuts!

There is an outfit that looks like a girl is wearing a large envelope across her body… I seen something
similar on Project Runway, that looked much better, get called batman outfit, and the designer was AUFED! See Page 7 and 36 of the flip book link on Flip-Zone below. (SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS!!!!!!!) There are a few more outfits if you look in the first link below.

Flip-Zone Flip book, page 27, didn’t someone else on Project Runway make something similar out of garbage bags and get slammed for it?

Flip-Zone page 37, didn’t Leanne make ruffles a plenty in weird places and get slammed for it too? It looks HALF DONE! BUT WAIT! There’s more! Take a look at the images in the first link, her website.

Speaking of Project Runway, I have to ask the question I have heard so many times uttered by the judges
on Project Runway and currently Launch My Line, “Who is her target market?”

Barnum and Bally and Ringling Brothers comes to mind with this collection. In the famous words of Michael Kors, “Just a train wreck!”

If you look in the flip-book link at page 2, and watch one of the videos in the links and see how long the head tube is, who is she targeting with this “ready to wear” outfit? That tube looks like it’s a block long…
Maybe a mother with three children who doesn’t have time to take them to play at the discovery zone?

You judge for yourself.

Focus On Style

At this point, I have to reanalyze the title of this post… Goodwill has better taste and fashion sense. Walking pin cushions, bat man suits, sponge bob, rainbow bright grew up and threw up… all would be more fitting titles. I am tempted to give her a Chronically Moronic award…
